The New York State Laborers' Union represents over 40,000 members employed in the construction industry and other fields throughout the state.
Our members are organized into more than 36 local unions and 5 district councils. We are a proud affiliate of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA).
Congratulations to LiUNA’S very own Business Manager of the Mason Tenders District Council of Greater New York, Robert Bonanza who was honored on June 6, 2013 by The Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW) at their Equity Leadership Awards Luncheon in New York City.
Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW) prepares, trains and places women in careers in the skilled construction, utility, and maintenance trades, helping women achieve economic independence and a secure future.
At the same time, NEW provides a pipeline of qualified workers to the industries that build, move, power, green and maintain New York. For 35 years, NEW has been a groundbreaking model that works for women and for New York City.
