NYS EXECUTIVE BUDGET PROPOSAL – INVESTING IN INFRASTRUCTURE IS AN INVESTMENT IN ALL NEW YORKERS

LIUNA APPLAUDS PROPOSED HISTORIC DOT FUNDING
INVESTING IN INFRASTRUCTURE IS AN INVESTMENT IN ALL NEW YORKERS

A JOINT STATEMENT FROM DONATO A. BIANCO, JR., LIUNA VICE PRESIDENT AND NEW ENGLAND REGIONAL MANAGER, AND MICHAEL E. HELLSTROM, LIUNA VICE PRESIDENT AND EASTERN REGIONAL MANAGER:

“The New York State Laborers Union commends Governor Hochul for a proposed executive budget that recognizes and addresses a critical issue that affects every New Yorker – infrastructure. By allocating record funding to improve New York’s roads, bridges, railways and airports via the DOT Capital Plan, Governor Hochul has demonstrated encouraging first steps to ensuring the safety of those traveling throughout their communities and beyond, and the overall health of New York’s economic landscape. This historic investment will yield tangible results in every corner of our state, and continue to create opportunities for the working men and women of New York.

We thank our steadfast partners and advocates in the New York State Legislature, and remain committed to working together this session and budget season to prioritize working New Yorkers. As always, the men and women of LIUNA stand ready to continue proudly building and maintaining New York’s infrastructure.”
